Meet @sydneydaydesign

✰ Sydney is a teen founder and business owner of a stationery company that will ensure you can keep the dual-life of business owner and student life organized (and manageable).

What's the hardest challenge you've faced in your journey creating this brand?

Burnout. Is. Real. I have had to learn how to work around obstacles that I wouldn't have imagined i'd need to face! Losing motivation is something i've struggled with before, and i've had to push through to get to where I am today!

What is your favorite way to promote your brand and WHY do you like this platform the best?

It's a close call between Tiktok and Instagram! I love using all of instagrams features like reels and stories, and am able to really connect with my community. Tiktok is amazing for being creative with my video content!

Where do you look to find inspiration and or motivation?

I love Pinterest! I'm able to collect ideas and get inspiration for myself and my brand :)

What is a normal day in life for you?

I always start my day by waking up early and planning out the day. I love to use my products to keep organized! I usually go on a run to wake up. Depending on what's going on that day, i'll get any schoolwork out of the way. Then, i'll get to work on orders to make sure I can send them out in time for mail pickup:) My favorite part of the day is when I get time to design and be creative after I get my work done. I'll end of my day by setting my goals for the next day.

Do you have a favorite quote/intention?

Here's one I came up with throughout my business journey! The 3 P's: Passion, Patience and Persistence!

What is one tip you have for other girls out there wanting to take action and be a creator like you?

My biggest tip for other teens who are looking into becoming entrepreneurs is to just go for it! Life is too short to worry about the opinions of others, and what they think you can do. Stop thinking about the setbacks and challenges and start looking for the positive in each situation!

I always do my best to keep the 3 P’s in mind, as these are the ingredients in my recipe to entrepreneurial success.

  1. Passion. You cannot succeed and expect to gain from a business venture if you aren’t passionate about what you’re creating.

  2. Patience. Nothing happens overnight. Patience may include staying strong even when business is slow, or persisting through difficult situations.

  3. Persistence. To run a business, you have to learn to be okay with failure. Working hard even when no one is watching is a valuable tip to consider when starting your business.

One of the most tangible pieces of information I can give you, is simply to remind you that not everything is going to work out. Just because something works for someone, doesn't mean it will work for you, so try new things until you find what works for your business!
