Middle School Girl Drama

Hola chicas! As you might have known I just got back from a school trip, and I thought it would be the perfect time to talk about “Middle School Girl Drama”. I am very lucky to go to an all girls school but, you are stuck with the drama… It sucks, I know. Ya, I’m over exaggerating just a little bit- lol- but it’s true! You can get through it though! Just take a deep breath, remember you have friends and family that love you and life will go on.

Keep it simple, just stay out of it. It is harder done than said, but really try to, it’s better when you don’t know about it. I know it might seem tempting to get invovled, but when you’re in, you’re in.

Stay off your social media over the weekend or when you’re doing your work. The worst thing ever is getting stuck on your phone for hours in group chats that seem like they go on forever. Also, by staying off your social media during the weekend, you will not make yourself feel bad if you find out you were not invited somewhere. Just turn off the phone and go hang out with your family or friends. Finally, just don’t get involved. How ya doing so far? Awaked? Blessed? And grateful?

Drama is annoying (by the way, you’re not the only person who thinks that)…! I can help you out. Here are some tips on what to do when you’re sick and tired of it.

Go hang out with people who are not involved with the drama. Talk with those people about funny memories or about their day. Basically anything other than the drama that was happening.

Understand who is creating the drama, is it you? Your really good friend? If it’s you, just chill and say “I’m sorry guys that I have been acting weird or mean, it’s my fault, and I hope you can forgive me.” Say sorry, if you don’t, the drama might go on further…

Pick yourself up, don’t take it personally if somebody freaks out at you, that person could just be in a bad mood or having a bad day.  People don’t always mean the things they say in the heat of the moment. They could be mad or sad about something else, and don’t have anyone to talk to.

Lastly, WAKE UP!!! Be smart. Is it a good idea to gossip about someone, or keep it to yourself? Seriously if you think in a smart way, you will be a better friend, that people can trust.

Be a good friend. Don’t follow others around. Don’t act like you’re better than anyone else. Everyone has feelings, no one is a tree, (as much you might think they are). Always form your own opinions of other people.  If you don’t think it’s the best idea don’t act dumb and go along with it. Just make sure you have your own ideas too. Look out for people.  If someone is getting left out, make sure you tell everyone so that so they can include them.

Have a great weekend, and happy Rosh Hashanah #jewcrew <3

Xoxo,
